Ingredients
  

  • 2-3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1.5 cups almond flour or oat flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted (or applesauce)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  • Mash the bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
  • Add eggs, melted coconut oil (or applesauce), and vanilla extract to the bananas. Mix well.
  • In another bowl, sift together almond flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Avoid over-mixing.
  • Stir in chocolate chips, if using.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
